Quirky elevator: The only downside was the small flight of stairs we had to navigate with our bags. But hey, it's a small price to pay for paradise!

The villa's location is perfect, close to Clifton beaches, Camps Bay, and the city center. The room has beautiful decor, a spacious terrace with stunning ocean views, and comfortable amenities. The host, Linzi, is delightful and gives great local recommendations. The homemade blueberry muffins for breakfast are a nice touch.

We got great value for our money with a spacious room, amazing sea views, and a cozy balcony. The location was perfect, close to both Sea Point and Camp's Bay, and within walking distance of shops and trails. Linzi and Lulu were fantastic hosts, making us feel at home and quickly resolving any issues.

The only thing that could make the morning meal better would be more variety in the breakfast options.

The views from the room were absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset. the location was perfect, close to Camps Bay and other tourist attractions, yet still quiet and peaceful in a lovely suburb. the room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous provisions in the room, such as snacks, honey, yogurt, and cereal. And taking the unique outdoor elevator was an amazing experience.

One thing that could have been better is if they had informed us in advance that the room does not have a kitchenette, as it was advertised as a self-catering unit. for those with mobility issues, the staircase leading up to the room and the outdoor elevator might pose a challenge.

confusion with booking

The location of the hotel is superb, with a stunning view of the sea from the balcony. the room/lounge is beautifully decorated and spacious, with small details like a Bluetooth speaker and beach bag adding to the experience. the host is friendly and hospitable, providing great tips on what to do and see in the area.

One thing to note is that the noise from footsteps on the second floor can be a bit disturbing, especially for those sensitive to noise.

just had the most amazing time at villa del mar in cape town! the view from our private balcony was breathtaking and the room was so cozy. the location was perfect - close to everything but still quiet. the host was super helpful too. can't wait to come back!
